At Pymble Dental we are used to dental emergencies. You are not! We will always do our best to see you as soon as we can, including the very same day you have a problem

Same Day emergency appointments

Whether you are a long-term patient of ours, or are new to us, we offer emergency appointments on the same day. With dental pain, trauma or broken teeth, time is often of the essence. A quick response to any dental issue may lead to a reduction in pain, less costly and invasive treatment, and a resolution to an aesthetic concern.

We encourage you to call us prior to the appointment so we may triage you correctly and allocate the necessary time that might be required for a satisfactory resolution to your emergency.

Types of dental emergencies:

  • Broken teeth

  • Lost fillings

  • Trauma to teeth or jaws

  • Dental or jaw pain

  • Sudden bad tastes or bleeding

  • Facial swellings

  • Facial numbness or altered feeling

  • Broken dentures

  • Loose crowns

  • Pimple on the gum

For any dental emergency that is causing altered vision, difficulty breathing, or delirium we recommend presenting to the nearest emergency department of a hospital.

If you are experiencing any of the above, then we will endeavour to secure you the next available appointment on the same day.

At an emergency appointment we will need to conduct a limited examination, test the teeth, and often require x-rays and photographs to help us get the required diagnosis prior to treatment.

Emergency treatment may involve a full repair or restoration of the issue, or may involve the removal of the source of the pain and further treatment at a subsequent visit.

We understand that these circumstances are overwhelming, and do our best to be accommodating.
